Train to the X6

Six X6 stops are a short walk from stations on the Derby to Matlock line. Get the train in, then hop on the X6 for the last bit to Chatsworth.

The roads

Which way it goes

The X6 stops at every bus stop on these roads, not just the main ones. It comes home the same way, apart from a few streets noted below.

Derby

From the bus station via The Cock Pitt, St Alkmund's Way, King Street, Quaker Way, Garden Street and West Avenue onto Duffield Road. Coming home it runs straight down King Street, then Full Street, Corporation Street and Morledge.

Allestree to Belper

Duffield Road, Burley Hill, Town Street in Duffield, Milford Road, Derby Road over Milford Bridge, then Chapel Street and Bridge Street in Belper.

Belper to Matlock

The A6 through Ambergate, Whatstandwell and Cromford, South Parade and North Parade in Matlock Bath, Dale Road, then Derwent Way to Matlock Interchange. Coming home it uses Crown Square and Snitterton Road instead of the Interchange.

Matlock to Bakewell

Bakewell Road, Dale Road through Darley Dale (including Lime Tree Avenue), Rowsley, then Haddon Road and Matlock Street into Bakewell.

Bakewell to Chatsworth

Rutland Square, Anchor Square and Bath Street (going only), Bridge Street, Baslow Road, the B6048 through Pilsley and the B6012 past Edensor to Chatsworth House.
